Alan Robert Thackrah

Alan Robert Thackrah, age 73, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021. Mr. Thackrah was born on August 13, 1947, in Albany, New York, to the late Leonard and Margaret Mary Temptleon Thackrah. He worked as a communication specialist for Walt Disney World and was a sniper for the United States Marine Corp, serving in the Vietnam War. Al also worked for the New York Police Department. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Wanda Thackrah, Cleveland; children, Heather Thackrah, Scott Thackrah, Renee Dukes, Glenys Lee Dukes, and Windora Dukes; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Lisa Thackrah and William “Bill” and Lisa Thackrah. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Friday, June 11, 2021 at VFW Cemetery - 1492 Smith Loop Road, Demorest, GA 30535. The Rev. Brandon Hester will officiate.
