Albert Whitlock

Rev. Albert Alonzo Whitlock, age 80, of Jefferson passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Rev. Whitlock was born in Cleveland, GA on October 28, 1945, to the late Oscar Whitlock and Myrtle Hunt Whitlock. He worked for many years at Hardy Chevrolet in the paint and body department.

Rev. Whitlock is preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife, Sally Kisner Whitlock; daughter, Pamelia Whitlock; sisters, Dorothy Priest, Margie Bryan; brothers, Harold Whitlock, Tom Whitlock, Phillip Whitlock.

He is survived by his daughters and sons in law, Francine and James Edmondson; Carolyn and Lee Knight; sisters, Patsy Foster, Betty Berry, Rosa Brackett, Henrietta Abernathy; brothers, Rev. Jerry Whitlock, Charles Whitlock, and Ricky Whitlock; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 4 until 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 11AM with the Rev. Danny Kaster and Rev. Jimmy Abernathy who will officiate. Interment will be held at the Liberty Community Cemetery.
