Alice Hall Childress

Alice Hall Childress, age 89, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021. Mrs. Childress was born in Johnson County NC, the daughter of the late Harvey and Malatha Lee Hall. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Donnie Tyndall and Jack Childress; son, Michael Tyndall; brothers, Coy Hall, Lloyd Hall, and Roy Hall; grandchildren, Pam Alexander and Dristen Tyndall; and son in law, Buddy Johnson as well as her sister, Celia Wease Horton. Mrs. Childress was retired from Gateway Healthcare. Survivors include her daughters, Mary Johnson, Cleveland, and Debra Mull (Allen), Cleveland; sons, Dannie Tyndall, Cleveland, Jerry Tyndall (Lynn), Cleveland, and Tony Tyndall (Kathy), Cleveland; sisters, Pearl Tart, Marie Beasley, NC., Margaret Norris, Ellabelle, GA; grandchildren, Renee Goss (Tracy), Shannon Spurr (Danny), Crystal Smith (Greg), Timothy Tyndall (Lexi), Pam Dixon, and Michael Bruce Tyndall (Jasmine); and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Grant, Rev. Danny Spurr and Rev. Dillon Wilson will officiate.
