Alice Aline Hathaway, age 75, of Cleveland Georgia, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021. Alice Hathaway was born December 19, 1945 in St. Louise, Missouri to the late Truman and Hazel Pease Doyle. As a young girl, Alice picked and harvested cotton and oranges with her family. In 1967, Alice worked for General Motors in Flint, Michigan as a line worker assembling cars. She met her future husband, Glen A Hathaway, who also worked there as a foreman. Together along with their daughter, LeAnna, they traveled to Alaska in 1976 for the oil pipe line and mined for gold for a living. To pass the long winter days, Alice enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Leaving Alaska, they traveled and stayed in many states upon settling in Cleveland, Ga. Alice will be sorrowfully missed by all that knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Glen Allen Hathaway; her sisters Joyce Johnson and Pamela Rice; and brother Truman (Sonny) Doyle. Survivors include her daughter LeAnna and son-in-law Richard Shahan of Sautee Nacoochee; grandchildren, Nathaniel Shahan and Christopher Shahan; Great grandchildren, Mason Shahan, Jett Shahan and Sylas Shahan; and Alice's brothers, Dale Doyle, Jim Doyle and Lee Doyle.
