Alma Ruth Parks Combs

Alma Ruth Parks Combs, age 87, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday November 6, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Combs was born in White County the daughter of the late Otha B. and Minnie Ruth Yates Buffington. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Buck Parks and David Foster. Mrs. Combs was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a volunteer at the White County Senior Center. Survivors include her husband, Vernon Combs, Cleveland; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Alice and Royce Smith, Murrayville, Frances and William Garrish, Alto; son and Fiance, David Parks and Sherry Sosebee, Dahlonega; sister, Maxine Crane, Maysville; sister and brother-in-law, Sadie and Harvey Wilson, Gillsville; grandchildren, Jennifer and Keith Moore, Chad and Jessica Garrish, Dana and Robert Coursey; 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday November 10, 2016 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Tom Etterlee will officiate. Interment will be in Gillsville Baptist Church Cemetery.
