Alma Rogers

Alma Yvonne Rogers, age 86, of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

Mrs. Rogers was born on July 8, 1939, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late George Tom McGuire, Sr. and Jane Young McGuire. She was a retired cafeteria server for Hall County Board of Education and was a member of Dewberry #1 Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Hartness; and brother, Junior McGuire.

Survivors include her husband, William “Bill” Rogers, Sr.; sons, William Rogers, Jr. and Jeff Rogers; grandchildren, Adam and Crystal Corbin and Jess and Jason Welch; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 11, 2026, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Heffner will officiate. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 P.M. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
