Amanda Lee Johnson

Amanda Lee Johnson, age 18, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 at Grady Memorial Hospital following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Miss Johnson was born in Albany, Georgia on May 29, 1991. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Lt. Col. Lee R. Newell and brother William Guy Turner. She was a 2009 graduate of White County High School participating in Chorus and the ROTC. She planned to attend college next quarter to major in culinary arts. Survivors are parents, David and Piper Johnson, Cleveland; sisters, Angel Turner, Apex, N.C.; Stephanie Joslin, Chipley, FL; brother, David Johnson Jr. Chipley, FL; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Kay Johnson, Keystone Heights, FL., Betty and Lee Wilson, Albany; maternal grandmother, Lou Ann Newell, Stone Mountain. Memorial services are scheduled for 6 P.M. Tuesday September 8, 2009 from the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5-6 P.M.
