Amy Elizabeth Jennings

September 24, 1984 — August 24, 2024

Amy Elizabeth Pritchett Jennings, 39, of Sautee-Nacoochee, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024, surrounded by loved ones after a seven year battle with ALS. Amy was preceeded in death by her mother Susan Stovall Pritchett and Grandparents Clifford and Betty Stovall of Sautee-Nacoochee and Jack and Carolyn Pritchett of Clarkesville and Uncle Ricky Stovall. Left to cherish her memory are her son Rylan Clay Jennings, father Ronald Pritchett, aunts Nancee Pritchett and Tina Stovall, uncles Ike (Gae) Stovall, Freddie Stovall, great aunt Frances McKay and great uncle Allen (Merry) Stovall and numerous cousins. Amy graduated from White County High School in 2003 and spent most of her life in the Sautee-Nacoochee community. Amy had many close friendships throughout her short life, but the joy of her life was raising her son Rylan. She loved being his mom and being able to see him grow up was her number one motivator for fighting ALS for another day. Amy will be remembered for her light-up-a-room smile and kind heart. She made people feel loved and included. She made friends wherever she went, and she went a lot of places. Amy loved to travel and was always up for a new adventure. Her refrigerator was filled with magnets from all her travels. Amy learned her appreciation for growing flowers from her mom. From her home in Sautee, she watched her mom’s azaleas return each year while adding new plants to the yard. Amy was also incredibly artistic and expressive. She loved to sing and dance. She was a talented artist before ALS stole her ability to work with her hands. Amy lived a full life before and after her diagnosis. She knew too well how short life could be and took advantage of every moment with her friends and family. She inspired everyone around her with her humor and tenacity through all the challenges she faced. The family would like to give special appreciation to Amy’s CNA and friend Victoria Hicks who was a wonderful caregiver for the last five years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Amy’s honor can be made to the ALS United of Georgia’s mission to finding a cure. (alsgeorgia.org) No public services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future time. To share a memory or to leave an online condolence for the family, please visit www.barrrettfh.com Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland.
