Arlena Harbin

Arlena Harbin, age 92, passed away on Saturday October 10, 2009 at Brookshire Nursing Center in Hillsborough, NC. Prior to moving to NC Mrs. Harbin had been a resident of Cleveland, Georgia. Mrs. Harbin was born in Pikeville, KY on September 23, 1917 to the late Lonzo J and Birdie Carter May. She was also preceded in death by her husband Grady M Harbin, her son Grady Lon Harbin, her brother L D May and half sister Patricia Ann May. Mrs. Harbin was a mother and homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cleveland and active in the community. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Harbin Myers and four grandchildren: Juliet Myers Wolfe,Grady L Harbin, Jr., Robert Harbin, Michael Harbin; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday October 13, 2009 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Turner will officiate. Burial will follow in Gateway Memory Park.
