Augustus R. King Iii

Augustus R. King, III, age 74 of Sautee, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at his residence. Mr. King was born on December 22, 1941, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Augustus R. King, Jr. and Jane Dunwoody King. He was a retired Major with the Dekalb County Police Department and was also a licensed embalmer in Georgia where he specialized in restoration. He attended Helen First Baptist Church and was Veteran of The United States Army. Survivors include his wife, Jimmie King, Sautee; son, Augustus R. King IV, Cartersville; daughter, Sarah M. King, Berkley, CA; grandson, Augustus R. King V, Calhoun, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Helen First Baptist Church. The Rev. Jim Holmes and Dr. Lawrence Wilson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday at the Church prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Helen First Baptist Church Building Fund – P.O.
