Barbara Ann Adams

Barbara Ann Adams, age 83 of Cleveland, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023. Mrs. Adams was born May 4, 1940 in White County to the late Hub Garner and Bonnie Mae Garner Gerrells. Barbara loved going to church and listening to gospel music, she was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and most of all loved vacationing with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, LD Adams, daughter, Donna Reed, granddaughter, Amanda Adams, sisters, Hazel Sutton, Jonell Nix and brothers, James Gerrells and Charles Garner. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Janet Adams; Stanley and Jeannie Adams; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Jerry Stallings, Ruth and Keith Chambers; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Willene Garner; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Solid Rock Baptist Church. The Rev. Kevin Holman and Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery on Tesnatee Gap Valley Rd. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
