Barbara Atkins Dunson

Barbara Atkins Dunson, age 65, of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Ms. Dunson was born on October 20, 1957, to the late James and Lessie McEntyre Atkins. She worked as a cashier and was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Terry Meaders; and brother, Larry Atkins. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 12, 2023, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. W.A. Jenkins will officiate. Interment will follow in New Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
