Barbara Ruth Beall

Mrs. Barbara Ruth Mercer Beall, age 75, of Sautee Nacoochee, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at her residence following a sudden unexpected battle with cancer. Mrs. Beall was born in Macon, GA. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father Mildred Ruth Dean Burnette and Joseph Zackery Burnette. She was a Registered Nurse and office manager of her husband’s medical practice. She was a dedicated and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, an avid bridge player, talented quilter, knitter, potter, superb entertainer, cook, decorator, traveler, hiker, among many other talents. She was a dedicated and faithful Christian who was an active member of Nacoochee United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband: Dr. J. Harvey Beall, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law: Vicki and David Still; sons and daughters-in-law: Dr. James H. Beall III and Tami; Robert Carter Beall and Lisa; brother: Dennis Burnette; grandchildren: Carter Randolph Still and wife Christina, Courtney Mercer Still, Erin Jessica Beall, Laura Leigh Beall, Victoria Dare Beall, Mary Grace Beall and great-grandchild: Kayla Beall Still. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from Nacoochee United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Shurtz and Rev. Lyndon Eubanks officiating. A reception-visitation will be held after the memorial service and interment will follow at the columbarium at Nacoochee United Methodist Church.
