Barbara Burke Sosebee

Barbara Sosebee, age 84 of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. Ms. Sosebee was born on April 10, 1935 to the late Roy and Inez White Burke. Barbara worked for Talon Inc. in her younger years and then later worked the concession stand for the first ever skating rink in White County and was a former secretary for Ash Brothers Milling. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Blanche Naglich, Margie Ash and Winnie Underwood. Survivors include her daughters, Angie Harkins, Demorest; Anita Sosebee, Cleveland; Melita Alexander, Cleveland; grandchildren, Shelia Johnston, Tish Edmondson, Benjamin Harkins, Mick Harkins; 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 PM Saturday, June 15, 2019 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Fuller and Mrs. Barbara Head will officiate. Interment will follow at Gateway Memory Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday and again on Saturday from 2-4 PM prior to the funeral home.
