Barbara Kinsey Nelms

Barbara Kinsey Nelms, age 75, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at her residence, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Nelms was born in White County to the late Clyde and Nellie Mae McCallister Kinsey. In addition to parents, Mrs. Nelms was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Junior Nelms. Mrs. Nelms was a homemaker and attended Mt. Vernon Holiness Church. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Jeff Honea, Cumming, and Karen and Tim Martin, Cleveland; son, Mark Nelms, Cleveland; daughter, Melanie Nelms and fiancé, Herb Hibbs, Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Eve Kinsey, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Barry Payne, Suches; 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 P.M. Monday, April 11, 2022 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Barry Payne, Rev. Dennis Taylor, and Mr. Josh Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow in Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-7 P.M. Sunday, April 10, 2022 and from 1-3 P.M. Monday, April 11, 2022 at the funeral home.
