Barry William Palmer, age 65, of Cleveland, passed away on January 27, 2026.

Mr. Palmer was born on February 2, 1960, in Demorest, Georgia, to the late Phillip and Eleanor Jackson Palmer. In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Rhonda Anderson. Barry graduated from White County High School, class of ‘78, earned degrees from North Georgia College and University of Georgia. He worked as a pharmacist and a professional musician. Barry liked telling stories of hunting and fishing around North Georgia where he grew up. He loved playing real country music with his band - The Bluegrass Alliance. He was passionate about making music and cared deeply for the friends he has made over the years. Barry was the best banjo picker you’ve ever heard.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Black Palmer; son, Jeb Stovall (Morgan Winn); daughter and son-in-law, Marci and Chris Brown; grandchildren, Arlo, Finn, and Daisy; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Ruth Black; brothers-in-law, Eddie Black (Sonja) and Aaron Anderson; numerous cousins and extended family also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chuck Nation, Bro. Shylan Wood, and Mr. Brian Thompson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
