Beady Lucille Evans

Mrs. Beady Lucille Evans Age 80 of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medial Center. Mrs. Evans was born on April 24, 1931 in Lumpkin County to the late Johnny and Ivy Meers Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her husband Gene Evans, son Larry Evans, brothers, Haden Thomas, Cleveland Thomas, Frank Thomas, and sister Elisa Beasley. She was retired from the Gainesville Times where she delivered newspapers for 35 years, and was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Botjer, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Joann and George Chalvatzis, Helen; sister, Betty Owens, Dahlonega; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled 2:00 PM Sunday from Philippi Baptist Church. The Rev. Jim Dewitt will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
