Bedelle Cain Nix

Bedelle Cain Nix, age 90 of Cleveland, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Nix was born August 31, 1920 in Murrayville, GA to the late Charlie and Lucy Parks Cain. She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and a charter member of Shoal Creek Goodwill Circle. Mrs. Nix was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Nix, son, Dr. Gerald Nix, sister, Lucille Early, brother, Charlie Cain Jr. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Louise Nix; Douglas and Peggy Nix, all of Cleveland; sister, Nell Poolos, Gainesville; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Jessie Harkins, Mae Davis and Nancy Pearson. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, June 26, 2011 from Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Nix will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Dr. Joe Vernon, the Rev. Chris Anderson and the Rev. Nathan Nix will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-9 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
