Benny Mae Abernathy

Benny Mae Turner Abernathy, age 74 of Alto, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019.   Mrs. Abernathy was born February 22, 1945 in Hall County to Lottie Butler Turner and the late Benny Turner. Benny worked in textile production for over 30 years, having worked for Mt. Vernon Mills. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Abernathy.   Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Abernathy, Hannah Abernathy, both of Demorest; sons, Jerry Wayne Abernathy Jr., Alto; Dale Abernathy, Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, David and Brenda Abernathy, Alto; mother, Lottie Turner, Alto; grandchildren, Contessa Williams, Chantelle Williams, Tiffany and Bryan Skelton, Nathan Abernathy, and Damien Abernathy; great grandchildren, Harper Cruce, Maren Millwood, Ian Abernathy, Tobias Abernathy and Hunter Abernathy.   Graveside services are scheduled for 4:00 PM Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Zion Interdenominational Church Cemetery. The Rev.
