Benny G. Allison

Mr. Benny G. Allison age 70 of Cleveland passed away Tuesday February 5, 2013 at Habersham Medical Center. Mr. Allison was born in White County the son of the late Marvin Lee and Lora Barron Allison. He was loved by the community and was known for his Bluegrass music. Benny Allison’s Blue Creek Bluegrass Band was known throughout Georgia and was always willing to play for events in White County. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Allison, Cleveland; son and daughter in law, Gerald R. and Janice Allison, Cleveland; daughter, Kamie Allison, Social Circle; grandsons, Michael Watkins, Conyers, Luke Watkins, Eatonton, Trent Allison, Cleveland; great grandson, Dalton Watkins, Eatonton; brother and sister in law, Donald and Patricia Allison, Cleveland; sister and brother in law, Sue and Swayne Cochran, Lula; sister, Brenda Pilgrim, Cleveland. step daughters, Martha Holbrook, Dawsonville, Mary Worley, Cleveland; step grandchildren, Amanda Lucas, Benjamin Henderson, Nicole Worley, Katie Sincannon, Miles Worley; great step grandchildren, Saxon Lucas, Montana Knight, Lilly Sincannon, Rylee Sincannon, Gracelyn Henderson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday February 7, 2013 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Swayne Cochran will officiate. Interment will be in Gateway Memory Park.
