Betty Cochran

Mrs. Betty Cochran, age 92, of Cleveland passed away Friday, September 28, 2018.  Mrs. Cochran was born in Macon to the late Murray and Hazel Thames Cribb.  She was preceded in death by husband, William B. Cochran III and son, Gary Cochran. Mrs. Cochran was a school teacher in Macon and East Hall High School, was on the Board of Directors with Smithgall Woods Animal Shelter, and one of the original members of First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland.  She was a District Services Chief with the Georgia Department of Human Resources, a member of the Emergency Preparedness Team for the Red Cross, and a volunteer for the White County Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include daughter, Elizabeth Cochran, Cleveland. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.  Mrs. Barbara Head will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday, October 1, 2018 at the funeral home.
