Betty Bryan Dyer, 84 of Maysville GA. passed away Monday June 6, 2022 after an extended illness. She was born February 2, 1938 in Gainesville, GA. She grew up in the Belmont area and married Paul Scroggs, together they had two sons. She later remarried and moved to Maysville, GA. She had a love for outdoor plants and flowers, antiques, historic homes and travel. She enjoyed working daily in her endless flower gardens. She was known to friends and family as a feisty, never give up free spirit who lived every day to the fullest. She traveled to every state and to several countries outside the US. She loved her family and will forever hold a place in their heart. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Laura Bryan, son, David Scroggs, brothers, Don Bryan, Graham Bryan, Harold Bryan, Barney Bryan and sister, Calena Hudgins. She is survived in death by her husband Herschel Dyer of Maysville, her son Doug Scroggs (Pam) of Young Harris, 3 grand children Julie Bryan, Jake Scroggs, Katie Limbaugh and 1 great grandson Luke Limbaugh. Betty will be laid to rest with her son David in Colorado.
