Mrs. Betty Jean Gailey, age 76 of Cleveland passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Gailey was born September 3, 1934 to the late Hoyt Emory and Myrtle Lacey Dorsey Crane. She is also preceded in death a sister, Merle McArthur and brother Herman Crane. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Gainesville and was the owner of the Cleveland Dairy Queen for 37 years. She is survived by her daughter: Barbara H. Pittman, Cleveland; sons & daughters in law: Jerry & Monica Hamilton, Clarkesville; Joe V. & Lesa Barrett, Cleveland; and stepson: James H. Gailey, Jr., Clermont; brothers & sisters in law: Hoyt E. & Barbara Crane, Birmingham, AL and Herbert & Maxine Crane, Camilla; sister-in-law: Nancy Crane, Monroe; grandchildren: Kenneth B. Seabolt, Cleveland; Kristi J. Autry, Cleveland; Tiffany Gable, Cleveland; Charles H. Hamilton, Lawrenceville; Katie Hamilton, Atlanta; Kai Gailey, Dahlonega; great grandchildren: Zachary Seabolt, Flowery Branch; Christopher Gable; Seth Gable, Jordyn Autry, McKenzie Gable, and Jack H. Autry, all of Cleveland. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 27, 2011 in the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Heffner officiating with burial to follow in Gateway Memory Park. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Wednesday, and 2-4 and 6-9 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
