Betty P. King

Betty P. King, age 77 of Dahlonega passed away Sunday, December 07, 2008 at Friendship Heath Care following an extended illness. Mrs. King was born in Lumpkin County the daughter of the late James N. and Pearl Cavender Palmer. She was the former owner of Jake’s Cafe, worked at Pete Sisk Pharmacy and Gold City Nursing Home. Mrs. King was a member of Dahlonega Baptist Church. She is survived by: son and daughter in law: Tripp & Natalie King, Dahlonega; daughter: Tamara P. King, Cleveland; grandchildren: Kristie King and Johnny Ellis, Cleveland, Cody King, Dahlonega; great grandchildren: Jarrett Ellis, Cleveland and Ryder King, Dahlonega. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 9, 2008 from the Barrett Chapel. The Rev. Lyman Caldwell and the Rev. Dean Bryant will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Dahlonega. The family will receive friends from 4-9 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
