Betty Lou Mcconnell

Betty Lou McConnell, age 61 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019. Mrs. McConnell was born on April 2, 1958, in Gainesville, Georgia, to Ima Jean Westmoreland Underwood and the late Thurman P. Underwood. She was a retired LPN at Northeast Georgia Medical Center and a member of White Creek Baptist Church. Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Tony Meeks and Billy McConnell. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Jennifer Meeks; granddaughters, Jordyn Meeks, Ellie Meeks, Lilly Chapman; mother, Jean Underwood; sisters, Elaine Mize, Bobbie Keith (James), Judy Howell, and Elizabeth Goodman (Scott); special niece, Mary Goodman; several other nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Lewis Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow in White Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
