Betty Sheffield

Betty Sheffield, age 75, of Clermont, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023. Ms. Sheffield was born on July 29, 1947, in Moultrie, Georgia, to the late James F. Moseley and Olvis Woods Gill. She worked as a lab tech in the poultry industry and was a member of Christian Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Matthews; son, Burney Sheffield; and siblings, Leon Robinson and James Moseley. Survivors include her son, Barney Sheffield; grandchildren, Michael Brock, Jesse Brock, Melody Cox, Gage Sheffield, Joseph Sheffield, Colton Sheffield, Morgan Sheffield; siblings, Quentin Robinson, Sharon Whitmire, Rickey Gill, and Wayne Gill; 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Christian Baptist Church. The Rev. Bill Trotter and the Rev. Tony Ewing will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
