Betty Wellborn

Betty Vandiver Wellborn, age 77, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Mrs. Wellborn was born on January 1, 1945, in Clarkesville, Georgia, to the late Odell and Lorean Sims Vandiver. She worked as a pre-k teacher for 20 years. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brother, James Kenneth Vandiver; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy and Lorene Wellborn. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Nathaniel Wellborn; sons, Gwuan Nathaniel Wellborn and Shawn Roy Wellborn; son and daughter-in-law, Ishmael Nathan Wellborn and Chelsea Flake Wellborn; grandchildren, Ezra Wellborn, Randi Claire Wellborn, Judah Wellborn, Rory Wellborn, and Jentezen Wellborn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Inez and Robert Jones, Linda and Harold Seabolt, Diane and Ronnie Turner, and Tammy and John Adams; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Jennifer Vandiver; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dewayne Wellborn and the Rev. Gwuan Wellborn will officiate.
