Bill H. Rogers

    Bill H. Rogers, age 85, of Cleveland, GA, passed away on February 8, 2018. Mr. Rogers was a member of the First Baptist Church, Cleveland, since 2009. Bill served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and retired from the U.S. Government (EPA) in 2000. He is preceded in death by his parents, William L. and Lily Mae Rogers; brother, Elmer, Otha, Howard, Alvie and Kenneth Rogers and sister Anna Mae Self. He is survived by his wife, Betty Stephens Rogers, Son, Richard Paul (Rick) Rogers of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Daughters and sons in law, Diana and Jimmy Lawler of Woodstock, GA and Gail and Terry Jaremko of Maryville, TN.; Brother, Leroy Rogers of Maryville, TN.; Grandchildren, Jennifer and Ryan Rinne, Jason Dills and fiancé Tracy Snipes, Justin Dills, Charlene and Trent Carpenter, Kelli and Dustin Heard, and Brandie Rogers; and Great-grandchildren Hannah and Quinn Heard, William Rinne, Johnathan Snipes, Kayden Dills, and Dalton Dills. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, February 13 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Turner will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.   The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at barrettfh.com.
