Bill Smith

Bill Smith, age 63 of Sautee Nacoochee, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, August 10th, 2014. He was a larger than life figure who’s intelligence, courage, and compassion touched the lives of all those around him. He was a loving and caring father and devoted husband who will be missed by many. Mr. Smith was born on April 21, 1951, in Marietta, GA to the late William Smith Sr. and Betty O’Dell Smith (nee Day). He was a retired nurse and a veteran if the United States Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Okah Lee Smith, Sautee; son, William F. Smith III, Atlanta; son and daughter in law, Clay and Sarah Smith, Suches: son, Jacob Smith, Buscan, South Korea. A memorial service will be held at his home in Sautee on Saturday, August 16, 2014. Immediate family will be received at 10:00 am for the spreading of Mr. Smith’s ashes. All other friends and family are invited to attend at 1:00 pm for lunch and fellowship.
