Candina Maria Jordan

Ms. Candina Maria Jordan, age 55, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Ms. Jordan received her Bachelor of Art in Philosophy from University of South Carolina. She was a published journalist in House Digest, WebMD, and other publications. She was a member of the National Association of Science Writers. She enjoyed hiking, photography, and art. Candina will be remembered as a loving, caring mother and friend.

Survivors include her children, Caroline Victoria (Hutchings) Turner (Kenneth Turner), Noel Julian Hutchings, and John Robert “Jack” Butcher; grandchildren, Delilah Roux Turner and David Logan Turner.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Collins Langley and father, Herman “Bobby” Jordan.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 5, 2026, at The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection with the Rev. Dean Taylor officiating.
