Carmela Jenkins

Carmela Jenkins, age 95 of Sugar Hill, Georgia passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020. Mrs. Jenkins was born August 31, 1924 in Pennsylvania to the late Francisco and Clara Vitullo Gentile. She was famous for her wonderful cooking, she loved her children and grandchildren and was a huge Tampa Bay Buccaneer fan. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was affectionately known as Nana. Carmela was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Ray Long; sister, Dora; brother, Sam; step grandson, Adam. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Francis Ray Long and Gloria Long of Oklahoma, Daniel Albert Long and Susan Long of Florida, Wendell Jenkins and Caroline Jenkins of Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Bob Doughty of Georgia; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren also survive. A graveside service will be scheduled at a later date at Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville, Florida.
