Chanley Dee Barrett

Mr. Chanley Dee Barrett, age 48 of Cleveland, passed away on July 12, 2019. He was born on March 19, 1971 in Gainesville, Georgia to O.D. Ellis and Brenda Anderson Barrett. Chanley was a self-employed electrician and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of Blue Creek Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his dad, Hal Barrett. Survivors include his loving wife of six years Denise Barrett of Cleveland; children Kaley Barrett, Jordan Bell, Macy Harkins, Ashley Whitlock, and Levi Sullens all of Cleveland; mother, Brenda Barrett of Cleveland; father and stepmother O.D. and Bonnie Ellis of Cleveland; grandchildren Aidyn Barrett, Myla Carter, Reid Whitlock and Anaston Whitlock; siblings Scott and Cari Barrett, Mandy and Stephen Jacob, Clinton and Bethany Ellis, Priscilla and Dan Abernathy, Delaine and Zach Stewart, and Melinda Sullens; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M Sunday, July 14, 2019 in the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Howard, Rev. Darren Palmer, and Rev. Shane Savage officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Creek Baptist Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00-8:00 P.M Saturday at the funeral home.
