Charles B. Brown

Charles B. Brown, age 75, of Helen, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023. Charlie was born on February 21, 1948, in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late George and Jane Standridge Brown. Charlie was a graduate of the University of Georgia and enjoyed being a practicing attorney, working most recently as the Enotah Judicial Circuit Public Defender. He loved being “Pap” to his 7 grandchildren and lived for his kids and grandkids. Charlie loved walking, playing tennis, and being around his friends. He was a long-time Rotary member and enjoyed living in Helen. Survivors include his children, Ben Brown, Jesse Brown, Brittany and James Rollins, and Ann and Woody Brown; grandchildren, Woodrow Brown, Jane Brown, Corbin Rollins, Axton Rollins, Lincoln Rollins, Sadie Rollins, and Oaklyn Rollins; siblings, India Welch, Jeff Brown, Raymond Brown. Memorial services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Thursday, October 19, 2023, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.
