Charles (Chuck) Herbert Smith

Mr. Charles (Chuck) Herbert Smith age 65 of Cleveland passed away Tuesday March 19, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Smith was born in Fitzgerald, GA the son of Mozelle Baston Smith and the late Herbert W. Smith. He was a member of Helen Presbyterian Church since 1990 where he was an active session member and frequent soloist . Mr. Smith was a retired Professor at Gwinnett Technical School and Lanier Technical School and owned Alpine Refrigeration and Air. Survivors include his wife, Connie Smith, Cleveland; mother, Mozelle Smith, Fitzgerald; daughters and sons in law, Wendy Renea and Derek Kline, Cumming, Lisa and Rod Jones, Atlanta; son and daughter in law, David and Ria Smith, Oak Harbour, WA.; brother, Ted Smith, Warner Robbins; step son, Larry Schapansky, Helen; step daughter, Linda Schapansky, St. Augustine, FL.; step daughter and son in law, Sherri and Ricky Gerrell, Cleveland; 8 grandchildren and several step grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday March 24, 2013 at Helen Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Joan Stevens will officiate.
