Charles T. Forney

Charles T. Forney, age 78, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Mr. Forney was born in New Jersey the son of the late Charles T. Sr. and Harriett Williamson Forney. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Concord Baptist Church. Mr. Forney worked at Truett McConnell College as an adjunct Professor for many years. Survivors include his wife, Janet Forney, Cleveland; daughter, Becky Johnson, VA.; son, Douglas Rowdy, VA.; grandchildren, Justin Johnson, Jason Johnson, Victoria Johnson, Riley Johnson, all of VA.; step sons, Dan Ray Leonard Jr., Barry Leonard, both of VA.; step daughter, Dana Kenny, VA.; step grandchildren, Candice Leonard, Emma Leonard, Wyatt Leonard, Bridget Leonard, all of VA.; sisters, Margaret Prescott, Sue Wroblewski, both of FL.; brother, David Allen, NJ. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday April 24, 2015 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Fangmann will officiate. Interment will be at Yonah Memorial Gardens.
