Charles "Bud" Garrett

Charles “Bud” Garrett, age 80 of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Charles was born in Hiawassee, Georgia to the late Jimmy and Vassie Garrett. He worked as a Millwright and enjoyed the outdoors where he loved to hunt and fish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters; Evie Adams and Kate Chastain, and brothers; Vaughn Garrett and Calvin Garrett.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Garrett; daughter, Denise Miller; son, Jason Garrett; daughter, Debbie Carraway; son, Chuck Bonner; sister, Lorain Hallford; sister, Sue Shelnut; sister, Ginger Brown; grandchildren; Brittany McCutcheon, Chelsea Morris, Austin Ward, Konnor Carraway, Logan Garrett, Chandler Miller; great-grandchildren, Ollie McCutcheon, Addie Morris, Abe Morris, Allie Morris, Reese McCutcheon, Ava Morris, Luca Ward and Jude Ward.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 20, 2026, from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Kastner, Rev. Gary Heffner and Mr. Jeff Shelnut will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the funeral home.
