Charles William Kirby

Charles William Kirby, age 91 of Clermont, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022. Mr. Kirby was born July 23, 1930 in Hall County to the late Elmer and Nellie Darnell Kirby. Charles was a former Inspector for General Motors and was a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. Mr. Kirby was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Gwen Kirby; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Neil Wells; Shelia and Jim Schumer; grandchildren, Tracy and Dan Waldrop, Tyler and Lauren Browning, Sam Wells, Brian and Jennifer Wells; great grandchildren, Peyton and Clint Crumley, Chase Waldrop, Luke Waldrop; great-great grandson, Wyatt Wells; sister, Geneva Oliver. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. The Rev. Kyle Savage will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
