Charles "Sam" Samuel Bowen

Mr. Charles “Sam” Samuel Bowen, age 75, of Sautee, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025. Mr. Bowen was born in Tampa, FL to the late Robert and Anbrown Willis Bowen. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepson, Steven Morrow. Mr. Bowen was a retired Probation Officer for the State of Georgia, having served in law enforcement for many years. He was of the Christian faith. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Cecelia Bowen; sons, Matthew Bowen and Jared Bowen (Michelle); daughter, Rachel Hitching (Dave); step-daughter, Tammy Romaniello (Frank); grandchildren, Jamison, Addison, Arielle, Jacob, Ellie, Savannah, Julie, Micah, and Ezra; step-grandchildren, Grayson, Everett, Zoe, Lucas, and Caylee; siblings, Andy Bowen, Bob Bowen (Barbara), and Susan Bowen. Sam also leaves his precious companion, “Teddy.” A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, March 23rd, 2025 at the event room at the Fairfield Marriott in Helen from 1-5 P.M.
