Charlotte Sue Sayre Hansen, age 90, of Cleveland, Georgia passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2024. She was surrounded by her family in Lynchburg, Virginia where she lived these last few years. Mrs. Hansen was born August 17, 1933, in Miami, Florida to the late Lewis and Beulah Sayre. She graduated from Miami Sr. High School and went on to attend Mississippi College. She started her ministry in music as a choir director at Olympia Baptist Church and continued in that role for 20 years. Charlotte was married to her late husband, William Burg Hansen, Sr. for 56 years and they were members of Mt. Yonah Baptist Church. Charlotte loved the Lord with all her heart! She showed her love for friends and family by cooking, baking, canning and making crafts to share at every special occasion. Her home was truly the hub for family and friends to gather for fellowship, laughter and hugs. She was preceded into Heaven by her husband, William B Hansen, Sr.; son, William B. Hansen, Jr.; brother, Lewis R. Sayre Jr. and her sister, Cecile Drumm. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Martha and Stephen Kerr, Forest, VA; son, Hewen Sayre Hansen and Suzanne Neider of Cleveland, GA; grandchildren, Michael Kerr (Kelsie), Stephanie Kerr Knight (Macon), Kayleigh Osborne, Alexis Segal, Caitlyn Herring; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and her precious friends, Judy, Merilyn and MaryAnn. Charlotte was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside services be held at Mt.
