Cindy Marie Smith

Cindy Marie Smith was born on a snowy night in Akron, Ohio, on January 7, 1957, and went home to the Lord on August 21, 2024. Cindy resided in Akron until her family relocated to Georgia in 1972. Eventually she found her heart’s home in north Georgia, where she lived for forty years. Her creative spirit showed in her love of gardening. Planting and potting flowers gave her joy. Her smile lit up the room, her laugh was contagious. She loved spending time with family and friends. Her faith in the Lord was steadfast. She will be missed sorely but held in the hearts of those that loved her. Cindy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Marcie Lanzarotta, Eileen Guse, and Etta Mae Wilson; uncles, Samuel Lanzarotta and James Guse. Survivors include her mother, Linda Lanzarotta; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas D. Wilson (Diane); stepson and wife, Jonah and Tiffany Simmons; step-grandchildren, Isabelle, Cloey Jo, Willa, and Declan; uncles, Joseph Lanzarotta (Carol), and Glen Guse. The family would like to give special thanks to friends, Carolyn Daniel, Debbie Hester, and Lisa Deaton for their loving care and concern. The family also appreciates Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice care for their care and guidance. No services are planned.
