Claudine Essie Nelms

Claudine Essie Nelms, age 78 of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018.   Mrs. Nelms was born on August 20, 1939, in Clarkesville, Georgia, to the late Rev. Estes Littleton and Ethel Ivester Littleton. She was a homemaker and attended Full Gospel Fellowship. Claudine was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Nelms; sisters, Delores Pless and Leona McCallister.   Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan and Michelle Nelms, Cleveland, Doug and Vanessa Nelms, Cleveland, and Larry and Janice Littleton, Toccoa; brother and sister-in-law, Luther and Hazel Littleton, Mt. Airy; brother, Gatha Littleton, Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law, Inez and Frank McCallister, Batesville; caregivers, Beverly Gerrell and Megan Jones; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.   Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Taylor and the Rev. Lloyd Martin will officiate. Interment will follow at Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M.
