Clifford Clyde Cook

Clifford Clyde Cook, age 90, of Graham, North Carolina, formerly of White County, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024. Mr. Cook was born on March 20, 1933, in Clayton, Alabama, to the late George and Annie Tew Cook. He was a retired veteran of the United States Army, having served in numerous assignments and receiving many awards. Clifford was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge and served as past Master of Shannon Lodge 404 in Comer, Georgia. In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by his son, Gary Cook; and sister, Joyce Hall. Survivors include his wife, Patricia M. Apple Cook, Graham, NC; daughter, Victoria Lea Cook, Hull, GA; sons, Clifford “Ronny” Cook (Susan), Colbert, GA, and Steve Cook (Emy), Colbert, GA; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Colbert Baptist Church. The Rev. Blaine Seagraves will officiate. Interment will follow in Colbert City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Thursday, prior to the funeral service, at the church.
