Conley Hefner

Conley Hefner, age 92 of Raleigh, NC formerly of Cleveland, GA, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015. Mr. Hefner was born April 11, 1922 in Cleveland, GA to the late G. Vas Hefner and Azzie Johnson Hefner. He was a longtime resident of Statesville, NC, a carpenter and a member of Blue Creek Baptist Church. Conley was preceded in death by his first wife Lillie Mae Cash Hefner, brothers Herbert Hefner, Albert Hefner, Robert Hefner, sisters Loyce Cobb, Lessie Vandiver, Mozelle Pardue, Floy Ada Denton, Mary John Pilgrim and Bonnie Miller. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Heather Hefner, Raleigh, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Natasha and Tony Brown, North Wilkesboro, NC; granddaughter, Hollis Hefner; sister, Grace Edwards, Demorest; brother and sister-in-law, Felton and Inez Hefner, Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Blue Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow in Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Saturday at the Blue Creek Baptist Church prior to the funeral service.
