Mrs. Cora Lee Smith age 91 of Cleveland passed away Thursday, August 30, 2007 at a private health care facility in Gainesville following an extended illness.
Mrs. Smith was born in White County the daughter of the late Hubert Franklin and Fannie Mae Albertson Turner. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Howard Norrell, Paul M. Smith, daughter, Bonnie Smith and infant daughter, Joann Norrell. She was a homemaker and member of Christian Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday September 1, 2007 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Trotter, the Rev. Kenneth Pilcher and the Rev. Michael Grizzle will officiate. Burial will follow in Gateway Memory Park.
The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include daughter and son in law, Joan and J.D. Hamby, Gainesville; daughter, Betty Jane Thomas, Cleveland; sisters, Cleo Long, Lela Norrell, Lena Abernathy, all of Gainesville, sister and brother in law, Bessie and Bill Wilkie, Cleveland; brothers, Stanley Turner, Hubert Turner Jr. both of Gainesville; grandchildren, Ann Worley, Wayne and Becky Sullens, Shane Sullens, Chris and Steve Woody, Dan and Karen Gravitt, Joe Gravitt, Martha Gravitt, Wanda Patrick King; 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
