Cretia Deanne was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 1, 1980, to Father Pierce Mobley and Mother Carol Davis. She slipped through the curtain of time on Thursday September 1, 2022, after a battle with cervical cancer that moved to her brain. Cretia moved to Cumming, Georgia with her family in 1984 where she attended North Forsyth High School. Cretia was a member in the initial class of USMC J.R.O.T.C. Upon graduation Cretia joined the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 2003. Cretia returned to North Georgia and worked in the hospitality field as a server and manager in restaurants around Dahlonega, Cleveland, and Helen Georgia. Cretia was preceded in death by grandfathers, Woodie P. Mobley Jr and James C. Davis; aunts, Jamie Davis and Rebecca Sanders; cousin, Phillip Mobley Jr.; and nephew, Dustin Mobley. Cretia survived by her daughter, Alexis Lennon; father, Pierce Mobley and step-mother, Pam Mobley; mother, Carol Davis; grandparents, Wilma Mobley and Bobby Davis; siblings, Christopher and Karen Mobley, Casheena and Tony Rutch, Kevin Floyd, Rachel and Chris Harper, and Craig and Laura Mobley. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews who called her Aunt CreCre, which she called her littles. Cretia was known in her family as a “Baby Whisperer” because she could always calm down a fussy baby. Her love for children was one of the things which endeared her to many including children of her friends. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM at The Church at War Hill, located at 5573 Cleveland Highway Clermont, Georgia.
