Mrs. Dagmar A. Drake, 80 of Helen, GA passed away Oct. 15, 2007. She was born on Oct. 9, 1927 in Kassel, Germany. She was a devoted wife and mother. Her interests included volunteering and was an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Cleveland, GA. She married Gerald Ray Drake, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Drake is survived by her daughters: Deborah G. Blanner, Dale L. Walker, Renee D. Phares and husband, Ray; her sister, Ellen Curtis and husband Robert; her sister-in-law, Harriet Drake; her grandchildren: Gregg Blanner, Adam Walker, Ashley Walker and christopher Phares; her step-grandchildren: Daniel Phares and Kelli Phares; and by her nieces and nephews: Stephanie Curtis Swanstrom, Frederick G. Curtis, Virginia Bryant and Gordon (G.) Drake, Jr. A Graveside service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday November 21, 2007 at the Helen Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the charity of one’s choice in memory of Mrs. Drake.
