Dale Lee Black, age 82, of Murrayville, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Mr. Black was born on August 29, 1943, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Delves Wade Black and Nobie Brock Black. He worked in communications for AT&T and served with honor in the United States Navy. Dale was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Madeline Porterfield; and brother, Don Black.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Black; daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Dwight Giddens; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Tammy Black; grandchildren, Leighton Black and his fiancé, Taylor, Ansley and Chris Nash, Dakota Briscoe; great-grandchildren, Leanne Nash and Easton Nash; bonus family, The Dosters and Alletta Lee; sister, Edith Ennis; lifelong friends of 47 years, Bill and Judy Caskey, Ray and Barbara Stallings, and Jim and Bobbie Adamson; many loving nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
