Daniel "Boone" Oliver

Daniel “Boone” Oliver, age 71, of Lula, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026.

Mr. Oliver was born on November 9, 1954, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Newton and Kansas Savage Oliver. He was a dairy farmer and a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. Daniel will be remembered as an avid fisherman and a prankster. His favorite motto was, “stay calm.” In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his siblings, N.C. (Junior) Oliver, Patsy Alexander, and LaQuita Hulsey.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Oliver; children, Sherrie Oliver, Jason and Lawayne Oliver, Nathan and Jessica Oliver; grandchildren, Alex and Haley Oliver, Leeson and Ally Oliver, Mary Oliver, Gabriel Oliver, Molly Oliver, Colton Crumley, Carsen Crumley; great-grandchild, Knox Oliver; sisters, Barbara Forrester, Shirley Irvin, Janis Sumlin, and Ethel Autry; numerous extended family members and friends also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Thursday June 11, 2026, at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Skitts Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Kyle Savage and the Rev. Mike Irvin will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
