David Lynn Bailey

Mr. David Lynn Bailey, age 70, of Sautee, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Northeast GA Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Bailey was born in Knoxville, TN to the late Avie Jack and Alice Kathine Scates Bailey. He was also preceded in death by his sister Helen O’Conner. Mr. Bailey was retired from the Centers for Disease Control and he was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his daughter and son in law, Tina Denise Bailey and Edward Lloyd, Sautee; daughter, Alisha Ann Maddox, Flowery Branch; sister and brother in law, Betty and David Whitaker, Knoxville, TN; very loving fiancé, Mary Lou Martin, Hollywood, GA. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Friday, August 28, 2009 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Leahey will officiate. Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
