David Sylvan Carter

David Sylvan Carter, age 85, of Hiawassee, formerly of Sautee, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021. Mr. Carter was born on February 25, 1936, in Banks County, to the late Earnest and Vera Newton Carter. He worked for Habersham County Medical Center and Northeast Georgia Medical Center as an x-ray technician and was a member of Clarkesville Lodge #325 F&AM. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Carter. Survivors include his children, V. Lynn and Henry Chambers, Carol and Keith Bangs, Wanda and Jack Shelton, and David S. Carter, Jr.; sister, Gail Allen; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.
